Basically, the pieces that are ESSENTIAL to truly understanding the plot of a story.
Understanding story elements improve a student’s comprehension of a text.
Let me break down how students will use these worksheets on story elements!
First, students will read the reading passage.
The 5 included passages are high-interest and fun stories, so they won’t be a bore to read! (PHEW!).
Next, students will answerfourreading comprehension questions.
Each reading comprehension question is based on story elements (whether about characters, setting, problem, or solution!).
Finally, students will use their selected answers to color in a picture!
WOOHOO!
Isn’t everything more fun when coloring is involved?!
These worksheets on story elements make grading super simple.
Simply look at the picture!
How stinking easy is that?!
Plus, they are no prep š
Students will love getting to color in a picture while completing what is usually considered “boring.”

It’s always more fun having something a bit out of the ordinary during the day.
