Students can practice their reading comprehension skills while reviewing and learning about science topics!
Reading passages often feel… well… “blah” to students.
However, students tend to be super engaged when science is involved!
Students love learning about WHY things work and happen the way that they do, and this is what science tells us.
These passages and questions are RELEVANT to students’ lives!
We of course need to read both fiction and nonfiction, but nonfiction science passages are a way to get students more excited about their reading since it pertains to things that students see and learn in their everyday life.
These science printables have a mix of printables with reading passages and comprehension questions, as well as straightforward questions about a particular scientific topic.
For the reading portion of the printables, students first read a science passage.
Next, students answer four questions about the passage.
Finally, students use their answer choices to color in the picture!
