What is an example of subject and predicate?

Here are some subject and predicate examples!

In the following sentences, the bolded words are the subject. The italicized are the predicate.

The silly bunny ran super fast.

The beautiful butterfly flew very high.

The jumping monkey is eating a banana.

First, students answer the different questions.

Each multiple-choice answer has a color written next to it.

After students answer a question, they find that number on the black & white graphic.

They color the number whatever their answer choice tells them to do.

In the end, a “mystery picture” is revealed!

  • Identify the word/phrase in each sentence is the subject
  • Identify the word/phrase in each sentence is the predicate
