I am going into my third year of teaching, and will be teaching fifth grade ELA. I am so excited, because ELA is my passion! I would definitely use these book bins to help organize my classroom library. My library is a work in progress, but one of my goals is to provide my students with access to books that are relatable to their lives and that are engaging! I know students need daily access, so while our school media center is great, students just do not have enough access to it. I want to spark a love for reading among all of my students, so having βjust rightβ books for them that they are actually interested in is my goal. My students mostly come from families with a low socioeconomic status, thus, it is critical for me to reach all learners to show them that we can ALL be readers and lovers of literature!
