What are some sentences and examples of possessive nouns?
Remember, possessive nouns show possesion.
All possessive nouns will have an apostrophe in them (but all words with an apostrophe are NOT possessive nouns).
The noun belongs to something else.
Laura’s dog. The dog belongs to Laura.
The children’s shoes. The shoes belong to the children.
The lady’s car. The car belongs to the lady.
How do students use these possessive noun worksheets?
Let me tell you how to use these possessive noun color by number worksheets!
First, students will answer multiple-choice questions on possessive nouns.
Next, students locate the question numbers on the black and white picture.
Students use their answer choices to color in the picture!
SO FUN, right?
I’m totally serious when I say that students will ask for more of these.
