How do students complete these nonfiction text features color by numbers?

Let me tell you how these nonfiction text features handouts work!

First, students will read the passage or nonfiction text features at the top of the page.

Some feature a table of contents/glossary/etc.

Students will answer questions based on the text at the top.

Each of the four questions has multiple-choice answers.

Depending on the answer that students chose, they will color the black-and-white picture accordingly.

At the end of the worksheet, students will have a fully colored worksheet!

Plus it’s easy for you to grade… just look at the picture šŸ™‚

What makes these nonfiction text features worksheets so great?

Fun & engaging

So the average worksheet is…. well… boring.

But throw in some coloring, and suddenly students will find a worksheet fun!

These color by number worksheets will keep your students’ attention, and motivate students to finish since they want to finish their picture.

No prep

You are busy enough!

Just push “print” and pass out the handouts.

BOOM!

You’re done šŸ™‚

Short & concise!

If you’ve ever had a student take an hour simply to read a passage and never even get to the questions… well… these worksheets are for you.

I purposely put four questions on each worksheet because I wanted teachers to be able to quickly assess students on comprehension strategies and their learning, without taking hours out of the school day to do that.
